Noticeboard

Due to Covid 19 and the need to reduce footfall into our surgeries, all appointment requests are being triaged by our clinical staff.  If they feel that your symptoms need further examination, you will be given a time to attend the surgery.  If you have a rash, changing mole or other skin complaint you could e-mail a picture to our clinical mailbox (dg.gpclin.Y18343@nhs.scot) in the first instance along with contact details.  These will be forwarded to the GP who will call you to discuss your symptoms.

redpills1.jpgIn the interests of patient safety, it is important to allow adequate notice for preparation of your prescription.

Please allow at least 48 hours if you are collecting your prescription from Dunscore or Moniaive and a minimum of 72 hours if you collect your prescription from Dumfries Surgery or a local pharmacy.

There are special telephone numbers which you can ring to order your prescription. You can telephone these numbers at any time which is convenient to you (24 hours a day). It is important to use these numbers rather than the main surgery number so that we can keep the main line as free as possible in case someone is trying to contact us urgently. Please remember to leave your name and telephone number when you ring, so that we can contact you if we have any queries about your prescription.

The numbers to ring are:

  • DUNSCORE SURGERY: Telephone 01387 820469. Dumfries patients can also leave their repeat prescription requests on this number.

  • MONIAIVE SURGERY: Telephone 01848 200289
